Even if your plans don’t include formal agility training, our Puppy Agility/Socialization Class gives pups from 8 weeks to a year old the perfect start to developing confidence and socialization skills by learning basic obedience, skills relevant to agility, and playing on no-impact agility obstacles.
This class meets one day a week for approximately one hour and is limited to 7 puppies (unless 2 instructors will be teaching, in which case a maximum of 10 pups can be accepted). Focus is on building a positive working relationship with your puppy using play, toys, and lots of treats.
Handler & Dog Skills:
- Attention
- Motivation
- Recalls
- Targeting
- Shaping behaviors
- Basic groundwork (following the hand, straight-line running)
- Tugging
- Puppy agility obstacles (jumps, tire, table, tunnel, wobble board, teeter, ladder)
- Socialization
Class Fees:
- $135 for 6 weeks.
- Class fees and a Registration Form are required to reserve a space.
- Class schedule is subject to change due to agility trials, inclement weather, etc.
