March 17-19, 2017 was the 3-day USDAA South Central Regional agility competition. Braedan had a fantastic weekend – continuing in his determination not to let his little brother (Ryker) beat him. Braedan made the podium three times during the weekend, taking 3rd Place in the Masters Challenge Biathlon,

2nd Place in the Team Tournament,

and – most exciting – a 1st Place in the Grand Prix Regional Finals (earning him the title of South Central Regional Grand Prix Champion!).

At only 3 years of age, Ryker is still a work in progress, but he did some really good stuff and managed to keep up with the more experienced dogs. He actually finished in 2nd Place in Team Gamblers (actually beating Braedan, who took 3rd). We had three Steeplechase runs (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and he qualified in all of them, earning a semifinals bye for Cynosport (Nationals).

Our next Regional is the Central Regional in Olathe, Kansas in August.  I can’t wait!
