MACH 3 Cameron

Born with a fear of just about everything, Cameron belonged to one of my agility students who had two children under the age of two at home.  It was therefore difficult for her to spend the time needed to help Cameron overcome his fears.  When he was 3 1/2 years old, I convinced his owner to allow Cameron to come live with me.  With no expectations, my goal was simply to help this little dog develop some confidence so he could have a good life that wasn’t so full of fear.  Little did I know just how much Cameron would progress through a reward-based training system and how he would excel as a wonderful agility dog.

At the Dalmatian Club AKC Agility Trial on Saturday, June 8, 2013, Cameron completed the requirements for his MACH 3 (Master Agility Champion) title.  His first MACH was earned in April 2009; his MACH 2 in May 2011.  In addition to these three AKC Championship titles, Cameron also has a USDAA ADCH (Agility Dog Champion) which he earned in September 2008 and a Performance ADCH earned in March 2012.

Now, at the age of 11 1/2, Cameron is going to enjoy the rest of his agility career competing in the 8″ jump height in both AKC (Preferred Class) and USDAA (Veterans Class).  We’ll keep playing this game as long as Cameron tells me he wants to.
